A man has appeared in court charged with the rape of a woman in a lane in West Dunbartonshire.
A 23-year-old woman is said to have been targeted in the early hours of Saturday morning near a cafe just off Alexander Street in Clydebank.
On Tuesday, Joseph Boylan appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court charged under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
The 21-year-old, from Glasgow, entered no plea and was released on bail.
The case was committed for further examination.
