A man has been charged with assaulting police following a protest in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance in Lamlash Crescent in the Cranhill area at around 3pm on Tuesday.
In videos seen by STV News, demonstrators can be heard shouting “beast” while police stand guard at a block of flats.
Two individuals were seen leaving the property surrounded by officers, while those protesting were blocked by a line of officers holding batons.
An item appeared to be thrown towards the police before bursting on the ground.
A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the assault of a police officer following the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.05pm on Tuesday July 7, we received a report of a protest and disturbance in the Lamlash Crescent area of Glasgow.
“Officers attended and a 50-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with police assault. He will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
“Further inquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
