STV NewsA man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a man at a flat in Ardrossan.
Terence Welsh appeared in court on Thursday charged with the murder of a 59-year-old man found dead at a property on Montgomerie Street in the town around 8.25pm on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old from Ardrossan was also charged with the attempted murder of a 24-year-old woman who was found injured outside the block of flats.
Welsh appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday and made no plea
He has been remanded in custody and will appear before court again within the next eight days.
