A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of another man found unresponsive on a street in East Ayrshire.
Police were called to Orchard Street, Kilmarnock, at around 5.25pm on Tuesday, April 22, after the man was discovered.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
James McClung appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, where he faced a single charge of murder.
The 49-year-old from Kilmarnock made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is due to appear in court again within the next eight days.
