Man charged with Glasgow sexual assault and indecent exposure

A man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault in Glasgow and indecent exposure in Bearsden.

Emergency services were alerted to the sex attack on Broad Street in the Bridgeton area of the city on Friday at around 9am.

Officers charged a 21-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Detectives will also report the man to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with an indecent exposure in Bearsden last Thursday which left two women in a state of fear.

He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 21-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault in Glasgow.

“The incident happened around 9am on Friday, January 16, 2026 on Broad Street, in the Bridgeton area.

“He was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, January 19, 2026.

“The man will also be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with a report of indecent exposure and putting two women in a state of fear or alarm in Bearsden on Thursday, January 15, 2026.”
