A man has appeared in court charged with the attempted murder of two police officers in North Lanarkshire.
The male officers suffered serious injuries following an alleged attack in Wishaw on Sunday night.
David Dowson is also accused of assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life following the incident.
The 25-year-old, who is facing a total of four charges, made no plea at Hamilton Sheriff Court.
He was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
Dowson is due to appear again within the next eight days.
