A man has been charged with attempted murder and two others arrested after an alleged attack outside Glasgow Central Station.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 7.53pm on Thursday.
A man was taken to hospital following the incident where his condition is described as serious but stable.
A cordon remains in place around the scene at the busy station.
Two men were arrested on suspicion of serious assault and taken into custody, while a 21-year-old man, charged with attempted murder, is due to appear in court on Monday.
British Transport Police officers are continuing their investigation and have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “British Transport Police received a report of an assault outside Glasgow Central station at 7.53pm on Thursday, December 16.
“Paramedics also attended, and a man was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
“A 21-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at court on Monday 20 December. Two men were also arrested on suspicion of serious assault and taken to police custody.
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and a cordon remains in place while officers assess the scene.
