A man has been charged almost one month after an elderly woman was robbed at her home in Kilmarnock.
The 82-year-old woman was at home in Craigie Court, in the Shortlees area, when a man came to her door at around 10.55am on July 17.
After she answered the door, the man pushed past her and entered her home before taking off with her purse, which contained her bank cards and cash.
The man left the property and made off in the direction of Treesbank Road and Lainshaw Avenue.
There were no reports of any injuries.
Officers confirmed a 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident on Wednesday.
The man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court at a later date.
