A man has been charged in connection with the death of a woman in North Lanarkshire.
Police were called to Torrance Avenue, Airdrie, following reports of a serious assault within a property at around 10.45am on Sunday.
A 54-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 60-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
On Monday, Police Scotland confirmed that he had now been charged.
A force spokesperson said: “The 60-year-old man is expected to appear in court today.”
