A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the “unexpected death” of a man in hospital.
Martin Weldon was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment after suffering a diabetic hypo.
The 35-year-old, who had diabetes, suffered a hypoglycaemia – where the level of sugar in the blood drops too low – causing a severe brain injury.
Mr Weldon died on August 13, 2022.
Police have arrested a 31-year-old man in connection with the death. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, May 30.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
