A suspect has been charged after a man’s body was discovered in a flat following a house fire.
A murder investigation was launched by Police Scotland following the blaze at a property in Tontine Park, Renton, at around 7.25am on March 25.
The body of Charles “Chic” Wilson, who was last seen alive around 10.45am on Friday, March 24, was found inside the bedroom of the flat.
On Saturday, police confirmed a 42-year-old man has been charged in connection with Mr Wilson’s death.
He is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Monday.
Detective inspector Lynsey Watters said: “I would like to thank the local community for their support and cooperation throughout this ongoing inquiry.”
