A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault in Glasgow that left the victim scarred for life.
The attack allegedly took place behind Garscube Sports Complex, beside the River Kelvin at around 3pm on April 28.
Emergency services were called to the scene following the incident and the injured man was rushed to hospital for treatment.
A 57-year-old man has been charged in connection with the assault and will appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date, Police Scotland said.
A spokesperson for the force said: “A 57-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious assault which occurred near the River Kelvin in Glasgow.
“The incident took place behind Garscube Sports Complex, around 3pm on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
“The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.”
