A man has been charged in connection with an alleged knife point robbery at a convenience store in Ayrshire.

Staff were said to be “shaken” following the incident at the Day Today store in the Blair Avenue area of Hurlford on Thursday, February 23.

Police launched an appeal for information but have now confirmed a 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged.

He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sherriff Court on Monday.
