A man has been charged in connection with a drug raid on a home in Cumbernauld.

Officers recovered cannabis worth an estimated £192,000 after executing the warrant in the South Carbrain area on Friday morning.

A 40-year-old man was subsequently arrested and charged in connection with the seizure.

He will appear at Airdrie Sherriff Court on Monday, April 3.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences following the execution of a warrant by the Cumbernauld Community Policing Team in the South Carbrain area of Cumbernauld on Friday, March 31.

“A quantity of cannabis was recovered, with an estimated value of £192,000.

“The man is due to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday, April 3.”
