A suspect has been charged after a Farmfoods store in South Ayrshire was robbed.
The supermarket, in Ayr’s Main Street, was targeted at around 6.40pm on Friday.
Police said staff were left “badly shaken” by the incident.
On Tuesday morning, the force said a 45-year-old man had been arrested and charged in connection with the robbery.
He is expected to appear at Ayr Sheriff Court later in the day.
Chief inspector Brian Anderson said: “I’d like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation.
“With their help, we have been able to bring the matter to a swift and successful conclusion.”
