A man has been charged after a dog died and a woman was injured in a “dog on dog attack” in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Finnart Street in the Bridgeton area of Glasgow on March 18 following reports of the incident involving two XL Bully type dogs.
A Chihuahua named Gizmo died following the incident and his 25-year-old owner was left with a wound on her back.
Police have now confirmed a 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act.
He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal and was due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Officers have seized the dog responsible.
