Police ScotlandA man has been charged following the death of a woman at a block of flats in Glasgow.
Police were called to a property on Kirkton Avenue in the Knightswood area around 8pm on Tuesday, March 17, over concerns for a person.
Joanne Newlands, 41, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following a post-mortem, her death is being treated as suspicious, and a murder investigation has been launched.
A 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death on Wednesday and later released pending further enquiry.
The man has now been charged in connection with the death.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
