A man has been charged in connection with an alleged hit-and-run which killed a “selfless” mum on Hogmanay in 2025.
Elizabeth Kennedy died at the scene after being struck by a car on Barrhead Road in Paisley around 7pm on New Year’s Eve.
Officers had previously arrested an 18-year-old in connection with the 70-year-old’s death and released pending further inquiries.
A man has since been charged with the incident. A report is due to be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
Elizabeth’s daughter Julie had previously described the mum as “a very loving, generous and selfless caring nurse for many years and had an overwhelming desire to help others.
