A man has been charged after the ‘suspicious death’ of a woman at a property in Glasgow’s east end on Thursday.
Police were called to the property on Tummel Street in Riddrie at around 7.40pm on June 27 following reports of a woman being seriously injured.
A 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as suspicious and a 32-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged assault.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday July 1.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a woman found seriously injured within a property on Tummel Street, Riddrie, Glasgow, around 7.40pm on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
“Emergency services attended, however the 36-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is being treated as suspicious and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
“A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, July 1, 2024.”
