A man has been charged after drugs, a gun and ammunition were discovered at a property in Glasgow.

Police searched a property on Auckland Wynd on Wednesday morning, where heroin with an estimated street value of £90,000, a firearm, and ammunition were recovered.

A 62-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the find.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday.

Detective superintendent Steven Elliot said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and we continue to work to remove them from our streets.

“Information from the public is vital. We’d urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs to contact us on 101.
