A man has been charged in connection with a gunfire incident in North Ayrshire.
The 28-year-old will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday in relation to the incident in Beith earlier this month.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ” A man has been arrested and charged in connection with a report of an alleged firearm being discharged towards a 53-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man in Beith.
“The incident happened on Hawthorn Crescent in the town, around 1.15am on Thursday, 3 December, and nobody was injured. Enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances.
“The 28-year-old man is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 8 December.”
