A man has been arrested and charged after the alleged attempted abduction and sexual assault of a woman in Angus.
Emergency services were called to the incident on Glenesk Place, Arbroath, at around 10.05pm on Sunday.
A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the attack, and appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
Police are looking to trace an orange coloured car and a man seen in the area at the time.
Detective sergeant David Fearn, Arbroath Police Office, said: “I’m appealing to anyone who saw what happened, in particular the occupants of the orange coloured car and a man seen walking nearby at the time, to come forward.
“They may have vital information.”
