A man has been charged after an assault and robbery at a shop in Cambuslang.
Officers responded to the shop on Glebe Place at around 5.10pm on Monday after receiving reports of a disturbance.
Emergency services attended, and police closed surrounding roads while urging people to avoid the area.
The roads were reopened four hours later.
A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Following further enquiries, the man was also arrested and charged with a robbery at the same shop on November, 9.
Police confirmed a 46-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
The man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.
A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
