A 52-year-old man has been charged after officers executed a warrant in the Drumchapel area on Wednesday.

A man has been charged after around 9,000 suspected “street valium” pills were uncovered in Glasgow.

Police executed a warrant on Carolside Drive in the Drumchapel area at around 8.30am on Wednesday.

Around 9,000 white tablets, suspected to be valium, were discovered within.

A 52-year-old man has been charged in connection with the discovery.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.30am on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, officers executed a warrant at an address on Carolside Drive, Glasgow.

“Around 9,000 tablets were recovered.

“A 52-year-old man was charged in connection and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
