A man has been charged in connection with an alleged rape of a woman in Glasgow city centre.
Police were called to the Howard Street area of the city at around 8.20pm on Tuesday after receiving reports that a 32-year-old woman had been the victim of a serious sexual assault.
Officers confirmed that a 23-year-old man had since been arrested and charged in connection with the attack.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of a serious sexual assault of a 32-year-old woman in the Howard Street area of Glasgow around 8.20pm on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
“A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday, March 16, 2023.”
