Google MapsA man has been arrested after he approached a woman walking through a lane in Paisley and became aggressive.
Police said the man had been acting suspiciously before approaching the woman on Garthland Lane at around 2.20am.
A 45-year-old man was later traced and charged in connection with the incident.
He was released and will appear before Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
Detective inspector Gordon Smith said: “Enquiries into this incident remain ongoing and we would appeal to any potential witnesses who were within Paisley Town Centre in the early hours of Sunday morning to please come forward.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0480 of Sunday, 25 August, 2024.
“Alternatively you can call Crimstoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
