A man has been charged after cannabis and cocaine worth £800,000 was seized following a property search in Paisley.

Officers from K Division’s Serious and Organised Crime Team were acting under a warrant when they searched a flat on Albion Street at around 9.10am on Wednesday.

They found cocaine and cannabis in the property with an estimated street value of £800,000.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the find and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Detective chief inspector Douglas Falconer said: “We will continue to disrupt drug supply in our communities wherever we find it. Tackling illegal drugs and removing them from our communities continues to be a priority for us.
