Man charged after £100k worth of cannabis found in vehicle on M74

A man has been charged after £100,000 worth of cannabis was found inside a vehicle on the M74.

At around 11.55am on Wednesday, officers stopped a vehicle on the M74 northbound near junction 19 in Ecclefechan.

A quantity of cannabis with an estimated street value of £100,000 was found within the vehicle.

A 33-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the seizure and will appear at Dumfries Sheriff Court at a later date.

A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
