A man was snared with more than 41,000 tablets dubbed the blue plague.
Greg Frearson was caught by officers storing ‘street valium’ at his home in Glasgow’s Govan on February 7, 2019.
The 40-year-old kept more of the pills at his dad George’s address, also in Govan.
On Monday, Frearson pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of etizolam.
George, 67, who was also charged, had his not guilty plea accepted by the prosecutor.
The court heard Frearson’s flat was raided in the morning by police.
A total of 469 valium tablets were recovered from a polythene bag inside a kitchen cupboard.
Frearson stated to officers: “That’s my vallies.”
He was then told George’s house would also be searched.
Frearson claimed anything found belonged to him.
Prosecutor Jacob Tomnay said: “£6500 was recovered from Frearson and he said the money was for a car and a holiday.”
A search of George’s house recovered 40,592 tablets from inside polythene bags from a TV unit and a holdall in a shed.
Mr Tomnay added: “The total number of tablets recovered was 41,061 with a potential street value of £4000.”
Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports by Sheriff Paul Crozier. Frearson was granted bail meantime.
