A man was caught in a £120,000 cocaine bust in Inverclyde.

Andrew Love was snared after police swooped at his home in Kilmacolm on March 30 this year.

Prosecutor David Fisken told the High Court in Glasgow that the 32-year-old had initially been spotted through a window going from room to room.

Officers went on to discover hauls of the class A drug in plastic bags including in a locked cupboard.

A three-figure sum of cash as well as scales with a “white powder residue” were also seized.

Mr Fisken stated that around 3kg of the substance was found, with a potential street value of £120,000.

First-offender Love admitted to charge of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.

John Brannigan, defending, told Lord Arthurson: “There is no motion for bail.”

The judge remanded Love as sentencing was adjourned for reports.

He stated a jail-term was “inevitable” when Love returns to the dock later this month.
