A man was caught running a £105,000 drug operation from a property.
Ho Van Hien, 38, was caught with cannabis and paraphernalia in Glasgow’s Riddrie on July 7, 2025.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that police officers forced entry to the property and found Hien inside.
Officers found letters with mobile numbers as well as instructions during the search.
Prosecutor Ramsay Cunningham said: “There were two separate growing areas identified in the loft and bedroom areas.
“There were a number of plants and various apparatus associated with a cannabis cultivation.”
Hien was arrested and later told officers that he was responsible for looking after the plants at the property.
Mr Cunningham stated that there were a total of 176 plants recovered.
The fiscal depute added: “The value ranged between £35,200 and £105,600 at its highest end.”
There were a further 150 cannabis saps which valued £750 found in the property.
Hien pleaded guilty to producing cannabis and supplying cannabis.
The sentence was deferred pending background reports until next month by Sheriff Andrew McIntyre, who continued Hien’s remand in custody.
