EDCA man was attacked with a glass bottle before being chased by a group of men in a busy skate park and assaulted.
The 24-year-old had to be taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be treated for his injuries after the incident in Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire.
Police said the attacker came at him with a bottle in Kirkintilloch Skate Park, on Saturday around 8.15pm, before a group followed him towards the Waverley Park area where he was assaulted again on Waverley Crescent.
Detective sergeant Craig Paterson, from Kirkintilloch CID, said: “The skate park was busy at the time of this assault and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened, or noticed the subsequent incident in Waverley Crescent, to please get in touch.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3373 of Saturday, June 26, 2021. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
