The man was taken to hospital and there were no serious injuries as a result of the crash.

A man has been arrested following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Glasgow.

At around 10.15am, a Peugeot 208 and a silver Volkswagen Polo were involved in a crash on the A814 Clyde Expressway at the junction with the A739.

The male driver of the Polo has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries remain ongoing. 

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for assessment and there were no serious injuries reported.

Sergeant Sean Dempsey, from the Govan Road Policing Unit, said: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience as officers responded to this incident and recovery was arranged for the vehicles.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen either of the cars prior to the crash, or may have dashcam footage from the nearby area, to please come forward, as you may be able to assist our enquiries.

“Please call police on 101, quoting incident 0918 of April 4, 2024.”
