A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a teenager in Helensburgh, Police Scotland said on Saturday.
The body of Kirk Allan, 19, was found by officers inside a property in the town’s Johnson Court area at around 6.25am on Saturday after they received reports of concern for a person in the area.
Police are treating the death as suspicious pending the results of a post mortem.
Detective Inspector Steve Martin said: “Our thoughts are with the family of Kirk at this very difficult time for them.
“Our enquiries so far indicate that this appears to be an isolated incident and officers are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
“A police presence will remain in the area while officers work to establish the full circumstances of what has happened.
“Anyone with information that may help with our enquiries, who has not already spoken to officers, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1006 of Saturday, 25 July, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
