A man has been arrested amid a police investigation into a rape at a popular Glasgow park.
The attack reportedly took place at Queen’s Park in the city’s south side between 12.30am and 1am on Christmas Eve.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and then released pending further enquiries. Police say their investigation is ongoing.
Detective Inspector Bruce Fyfe said: “A 40-year-old man was arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in the Queen’s Park area of Glasgow, which is believed to have taken place between 12.30am and 1am on Wednesday, 24 December, 2025.
“He was released pending further enquiries, which remain ongoing.
“There remains a police presence in the area and patrols will continue over the coming days.”
