A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a “loving” father who was shot in his home in North Lanarkshire in December.
Jordan Gray suffered fatal firearm injuries at his home on Shields Court in Motherwell on December 14.
The 26-year-old’s body was discovered the following day, and a murder investigation was launched.
At around 6.45am on Tuesday, March 10, Police Scotland executed warrants in the Muirhouse Road area, and a 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death.
Enquiries remain ongoing at this time.
Police Scotland confirmed Jordan, aged 26, suffered fatal injuries “consistent with being shot by a firearm”.
As well as ongoing forensic analysis, 1,200 hours of CCTV footage was gathered as an extensive investigation was launched.
A £20,000 reward was offered for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Charity Crimestoppers said that despite extensive inquires the gun used in the killing has never been found.
Jordan had been described as a “loving and doting father and son” by his devastated family.
His dad, John Lindsay, said: “Jordan was a loving and doting father and son. Please if anyone has any information, however large or small, contact police.”
