A man has been arrested following an assault in South Lanarkshire which left the victim in hospital.
The 26-year-old man was found injured on Coldstream Crescent in Wishaw at around 4.05pm on Thursday.
Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where his condition is described as “stable”.
Police confirmed that a 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.05pm on Thursday, October 6, police were called after a 26-year-old man was found injured on Coldstream Crescent, Coltness, Wishaw.
“He has been taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
“A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing.”
