Tiree Music FestivalA man has been arrested in connection with a sexual assault at a popular Scottish music festival on Tiree.
Police were called to Tiree Music Festival on Friday July 10 to the incident and a 24-year-old man was arrested.
He was released pending further enquiries which remain ongoing.
Festival organisers said they are supporting Police Scotland with the matter.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 24-year-old man was arrested in connection with a sexual assault at a music festival in Tiree on the evening of Friday, July 10, 2026. He was released pending further enquiries, which are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for Tiree Music Festival said: “We are doing everything we can to support Police Scotland who are leading enquiries into this matter.
“Our thoughts are with those affected, and our absolute priority is the safety and wellbeing of everyone at the festival.”
