A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged assault and robbery in Dumfries and Galloway.
Police confirmed a 43-year-old has been arrested following an incident at a business premises on Victoria Street in Newton Stewart on Friday.
The man is due to appear before court on Monday.
Detective Inspector Graeme Robertson said: “A 43-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault and robbery incident in Newton Stewart.
“Officers were called to a business premises on Victoria Street on Friday, October, 21.
“The man is due to appear at Stranraer Sheriff Court on Monday, October, 24.”
