A man has been arrested almost 12 hours after police negotiators were called to a stand-off at a home in North Ayrshire.
Emergency services were called to the property on Cathkin Place in Kilwinning at around 1.10am on Monday morning.
Specialist negotiator officers were also in attendance. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also dispatched an engine to the scene to assist at around 2.23am.
The nature of the disturbance is not known, however, a 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection.
An investigation to establish the full circumstances is still ongoing.
No injuries have been reported.
