Man arrested after woman sexually assaulted in town centre

A man has been arrested after a woman was “left shaken” following a sexual assault in Paisley.

The 41-year-old was attacked at around 1.30am on Sunday in the Forbes Place area of the town centre.

Police have confirmed that a 31-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for the force said the victim was being supported by “specialist officers” following the attack.

Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
