Adobe StockA man has been arrested after a woman was taken to hospital following being hit by a car in an alleged attempted murder in Renfrewshire.
The 49-year-old was struck in the Clippens Road area of Linwood at around 3.45pm on Tuesday.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and later released.
On Thursday, police confirmed an 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder.
He is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday.
