A 38-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of another man in Ayrshire.
Sean McKay was killed after he was attacked while walking along St Margaret Avenue, Dalry around 9.05pm on Sunday night.
The 23-year-old appeared to have been assaulted “for absolutely no reason”, police said.
Officers continued to appeal to the public for help following the arrest on Tuesday.
Investigators said they were keen to speak to anyone who had not yet come forward.
