A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing attack in Ayrshire.
The 20-year-old has been charged with serious assault over the incident that took place on Peden Avenue, Dalry, on Saturday.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 8.20pm and a 17-year-old boy was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he was treated for stab wounds.
Police confirmed on Wednesday that the 20-year-old has since been arrested and charged.
A spokesman for the force said: “A man has been arrested and charged over the incident and is due to appear at court on Wednesday.”
The incident was not connected to a death at nearby St Margaret’s Avenue, Dalry, the following day.
A 38-year-old man has been charged in connection with the murder of 23-year-old Sean McKay on Sunday.
