A man has been arrested after a stranger was found in a Glasgow primary school building.
Emergency services were called to Cardonald Primary School at around 9.45am on Wednesday, following the morning bell.
The alarm was raised while pupils and teachers were in class, but the individual left the building before officers arrived.
Checks of the school’s entrances and exits were carried out.
Officers have now arrested a 49-year-old man in connection with a theft at the premises. An investigation is still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 49-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a theft from a primary school in Glasgow.
“The incident was reported around 9.45am on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Enquiries remain ongoing.”
