A man has been arrested after a police officer was taken to hospital following an assault at a house in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called after an officer was assaulted while carrying out enquiries at a property in the Wyndford Drive area of the city at around 7.30am on Friday.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.
Police have confirmed that a 26-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with the incident amid ongoing enquires.
Superintendent Ross Allan said: “A police officer was assaulted while carrying out enquiries at a property in the Wyndford Dr area around 7.30am on Fri, Sept 23.
“The officer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to QEUH, where he was treated for minor injuries.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
“This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the wider community.”
