A man has been arrested after a pedestrian died in an early morning crash in Paisley.
Officers responded to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car at around 12.20am on Sunday, November 27, on Brediland Road.
The 63-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by attending emergency services.
Police Scotland confirmed that a 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
The road remains closed as of 11.30am on Sunday with local diversions in place.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Around 12.20am on Sunday, November 27, 2022, officers were called to a report of a crash between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a 63-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.”
