A man has been arrested following a disturbance in Glasgow city centre.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 4.45am on Saturday on Kent Road near St Vincent Street.

Berkeley Street at North Street, Granville Street at Sauchiehall Street, Kent Road from North Street to Elderslie Street, and Cleveland Street and Cleveland Lane were all closed by police due to the incident.

The roads were reopened around 11.30am.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

There were no injuries, and there was no threat to the wider public.

Officers said enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Members of the public are thanked for their patience.”
