A man has been arrested after a Domino’s was allegedly set alight deliberately in East Ayrshire.

The 26-year-old was arrested on Thursday over the incident and will appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday.

Police say the “wilful fire-raising” happened at the pizza place on Glasgow Road, Kilmarnock, shortly after 1am on April 10.

No one was injured in the incident.

A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a man has been arrested after a premise on Glasgow Road in Kilmarnock was deliberately set alight.

“The incident happened in the early hours of April 10.

“A 26-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Friday, April 17.”
