Man arrested after car crashes into at least five parked vehicles on street

Police were called to Glasgow's Maryhill Road on Monday night after being alerted to the crash.

A man has been arrested and charged after a car smashed into several parked vehicles in a street in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to the Maryhill Road at around 11.15pm on Monday.

A video shared with STV News appears to show at least five parked cars on the street significantly damaged on Tuesday following the crash.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.15pm on Monday, July 29, we were made aware of a car crashing into parked vehicles on Maryhill Road in Glasgow.

“The driver, a 25-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences and due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.”
